The Windsor Cup is sponsored for the 5th year
running by Henry Schien Ltd.

This special regatta is open to crews that include at least one participant from the medical, dental and allied professions. The regatta is great fun, featuring two days of racing and a gala dinner (with prizes) at the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes, on Saturday evening. 

The Windsor Cup Regatta is open to any boat with a valid IRC Certificate and any other non-rated cruising boat which has one or more members of the medical and or allied professions. There are no restrictions on crew numbers unless specified under class rules. The emphasis is on enjoying the experience and taking part, as you will see from our list of wonderful prize winners from 2008 below. 

Winners from 2008:

1. Not So Frisky Prize (Teddy Bear) – Awarded to the Hare & Tortoise boat of the regatta went to Phillip Dowell  on AMBERJACK. 

2. Spinnaker Pot for Entertainment – Awarded to Andrew Spruell on ALIZE OF ROWLANDS for her pirouette around the outer distance marker at the finish of race one (after receiving some shoreside assistance!).

3. The Tony Moreton Award – Awarded to Tom Mallaburn on SPOOFER for spending the longest time on the racecourse, the fact that he had difficulty in understanding the course instructions must have been one of the reasons why he ended up in Ryde for lunch!

4. The Guest Trophy – Awarded to the winner of the IRC division is Sandy Fielding on STREGA

5. The Fair Do’s Trophy – Awarded to the 3rd boat overall, goes to Andrew Jackson on FANDANGO

6.Windsor Cruiser Bouy – Awarded to the 2nd boat overall, goes to Bruce Mayhew on EMMA KETURAH

7.The Windsor Cup -  Awarded to the first boat overall, went to Sandy Fielding on her boat STREGA
