01/08/2010 - Lord Nelson

Dated: 01/08/2010

Day four on the Lord Nelson and the forward port watch are attempting to drive the ship. (Just imagine the Big Brother voice, okay)

Last night we were on the 8pm – midnight watch and we were crossing the shipping lanes. To say they were busy was a slight understatement... J. The Russian Mafia and the Spanish fishing ship were on the radio telling us that we were on a collision course with them (still not moving and being very un-helpful!)- slightly stressful!!

(But after that the sailing in the dark was awesome!)

But now it’s daylight. The sea is blue and the sky is... err... also blue and we are happy, although Vici has been ordered off the ship by Jon for wearing Crocs (but they are funky and silver grey so I’m not getting off – Vici). Nic discovered that the full body harnesses work by hanging herself from the ship :D. Ellie is driving the boat at the moment. WE’RE ALL DOOMED!!! I’m thinking not only get the man over board things ready but also all the abandon ship gear out as they will most likely be needed!

Bye for now!!

Ellie’s given up on helming and is now looking into Emily’s eyeski...

There once was a Cookie called Dave,

Who was bold and clever and brave.

He makes fantastic rock cakes,

From bits and bobs and snakes,

Cookie really is our fave!

From the (not-so) poetic Fwd Port watch...

The engineers were stripping so we brought Alec a ginger nut...to which he replied “I’ve already got some of those”

Two-ski six-ski HEAVE-SKI!

Outski bosunski (:
