01/10/2008 - Lord Nelson

Dated: 01/10/2008

With 5 shackles out on a starboard anchor Lord Nelson had a peaceful night off Grande Rade St Vaast, France. The day breaks with a slight swell drizzle and later heavy rain.Night watches had been kept by the permanent crew giving the voyage crew a good nights sleep (a well earned rest after a stormy day)

Unfortunately the forecast was not encouraging for the 1st of October.

The Captain made the decision to make sail back to the UK after lunch.

This time all crew were prepared for another challenging day at sea.

The ship had a thorough clean (removing all smells!)Followed by a hearty lunch and a dose of anti-emetics, and so we set to sea in a positive mood.

16.15pm the anchor was aweigh and Lord Nelson head homewards.

On deck the buddy system could be seen to be in full force as each individual showed a caring attitude towards the person next to them.
