Shhhh everyone is sleeping off the effects of the swell!! That is except David and his merry band nobly keeping the ship safe! We were woken to the dulcet tones of the fire alarm - panic not - it was hot water in the kitchen and swiftly and ably dealt with by the permanent crew. We set sail and foul weather gear was the fashion of the day - Toni was to be seen modelling a nifty little yellow number on the bridge. (photos to follow)! The entertainment of the afternoon was a large school of dolphins 5 miles off Hartland point. Coming in from all directions they provided a splendid display diving to and fro below the ship. Mark, Paul and Frank ably cooked and served at table - yummy nosh for those who were able to stomach it!
Sails were unfurled then furled when the wind turned out to be not as advertised - still it provided a bit activity heaving on ropes! This also made a pleasent change from the rest of the heaving! Norma and Brian steered the ship which is fast heading to the calm of Lands End. Charlotte assisted on deck at every opportunity making the most of being a member of the crew. She spent most of her time falling in to the arms of the Doctors who were providing the brawn to the girly giggles. David C and Carl are fast learing that happy hour involves cleaning and scrubbing not drinking! David is dab hand with the vacuum!!! Time for smoko and more delicious cake. So long me harties. Foreward starboard watch.. .
