Joined Tenacious in Monaco, moored in the main harbour next to some truly enormous superyachts. We went for a walk around the harbour, but the quayside resembled a building site due to the forthcoming Grand Prix.
Friday morning was safety training and our first climb aloft and out on the yards - lots of people (including Lesley - JST office please note!) made it and it got pretty cosy in the foretop!
Friday afternoon we left the calm harbour into some fairly big seas and challenging conditions, but it calmed down overnight and Saturday morning was sunny, fair winds and lots of sails up, making 6-7 knots.
So far we've seen a sunfish, a dolphin, and a little green bird who wanted to join us. Plenty of cake to eat - both Simnel Cake and a beautiful birthday cake for our Medical Purser who is 21 again (thanks Rachel from Lord Nelson for the card)!
Now motoring towards Livorno aiming to arrive around 5pm.
