Tuesday 2nd June 2009. After waking up to another fine calm day upon the Irish sea, It could only feel like the crew of Tenacious were bound for somewhere tropical. With light wind and a fantastically peachy sun, blazing down we made yet more progress towards Kinsale. After having encountered the most amazing mirages during last night's closing hours and during sunrise this morning. We were lucky to have the second engineer explain why coastlines and buildings appeared out of nowhere and why these optical delights take place. Moving on to the day's events we saw yet another fine session of happy hour finding Mary dancing down below with her mop and bucket which leads us on to smoko, during which a very special crew member close to us all for his outstanding comedy value celebrated his birthday aboard. John receiving yet another galley delight, in the form of a giant birthday cake and was also presented with a ships teddy from the Captain.
After lunch some members retreated to there sun spots for the daily siesta and enjoyed a most peaceful afternoon. Others getting roped into stitching Penelope (dummy) back together for her debut in this afternoon's man overboard drill. So With the day drawing to a close we gaze as one at another mind blowing sunset proud to be part of this great family that is Tenacious!
