Amsterdam to Brugge; FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST TO TUESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER.
We left Amsterdam at 12:30 CET on Friday 28th August and first headed for the coast of Great Britain in order to create an angle so we could proceed under sail to Bruge. This allowed us to put up the fore top gallant, the main and fore topsails, the outer jib, the main and fore staysails.
During our voyage, we overheard a May Day call about a collision between two ships close to our position. We gather nobody was hurt, but we have no other details.
We arrived in Bruge on Monday, 31st August at 13:30 CET. WE WENT AND TOURED THE CITY AND SOME OF US eVEN DID THIS IN A HORSE AND CARRIAGE. WHILE SOME WERE DOING THIS OTHERS VISITED THE DALI EXHIBITION or bought the famous Belgium chocolate.
We left Brugge this morning, but before we did we put our clocks back to BST. Therefore, unusually, today we will have 25 hours in a day.
