Thursday 3rd June. Sunshine from dawn to dusk. Wind only force 2, so sailing on gently along the beautiful coastline, and our plan is to enter Kinsale at high tide.
A large basking shark came slowly by, we also observed numerous jellyfish, does this mean warm weather is here to stay?
After a delicious lunch, we motored into the mouth of the river Bandon where we had a wonderful view of the Old Head of Kinsale, and also several yachts, we manouvered skilfully onto a magnificently placed pontoon in Kinsale Marina.
Once securely moored, voyage crew took advantage of shore leave to explore the lovely picturesque harbour.
The local seal was curious enough to swim by apparently appearing for his supper as the local fishing boats return from a days work.
We plan to leave Kinsale on the tide tomorrow at 11am.
