03/08/2010 - Lord Nelson

Dated: 03/08/2010

Chessie, Emma & Alison sat in the chart room chatting about random chirp J

We suddenly remembered we hadn’t told Cookie we wanted pack up for Tuesday (Jersey)...

So we wrote a poem ..... :

Dear Cookie & Joycey,

As you hopefully know, we love your food,

We’re very sorry and hope you don’t think we’re rude,

But we forgot to ask

About the important task

Of lunch on dry land

Sitting on beautiful sand,

We would all love a packed lunch

Upon which to munch

To full up our tummies –

We won’t leave any crummies

Because we love your food

And we’re not rude

(we just forgot)

Lots of love Aft Starboard watch (Chessie, Alison, Emma, Hannah, Holliee & Rachek)

Poem composed at 3am

p.s  in case you didn’t realise from the poem, would it be possible to have 6 packed lunches, for Jersey, pretty pretty please. Sorry for the short notice, you’re very lovely :D  xxxxxxxxxx

11:50 am. We are in the bar making friendship bracelets for the permenant crew. Some people are doing an assisted climb, they are probably having fun, but as I am not them I do not know. Hopefully we’re going to leave the ship and go on dry land soon. Some of us went in the Doti boat with Jon and helped tie up the ship. It was fun J Nellie (the White Pearl) looked like a propa pirate ship (yarrrr!) and all the other boats waved and took photos apart from the French ...*insert word here*... with fender covers who just looked down their noses at us.

7.40pm  Hello, this is Abby and Kate G reporting from the bar.  We have been onshore! Very weird walking on dry land again, but Jersey was nice.  We spent the day wandering between beaches, via ice cream shops and fish and chip shop. We almost got attacked by seagulls who wanted to steal Abby’s chips, but luckily we survived.  Others went to the Jersey war tunnels, the zoo, the indoor swimming pool and the shops.  But the best option was the beach, as evidenced by our red sunburnt faces now!!  They will definitely see us coming when we reach Cowes!

Tonight some of us are on harbour watch....hopefully we won’t have to apprehend any people trying to board our ship!

Lots of love to everyone back home, especially the North Cotswold stalkers!!!
