Drizzle. Jeeze... Ah well, 's all good fun (and we came off watch just before the heavens opened proper :). Every bit of sea is peppered with oil rigs, these ones don't have dirty great big holes in them though and they're easy enough to spot during the night, lit up like flamboyant American cities. The Youth Leadership guys are furiously trying to sort out crew entertainment for the last night at sea...so that should be grand. We've been heavily inundated with boaty information with talks from the permanent crew.
Thanks to the efforts of our watch we had the shiniest bell in the fleet!...Then it rained...and it went pink...needless to say, we all cried...
We're in the final leg of the race, almost neck and neck with the Stavros S Niarchos for most of the night but we managed to overtake them in the early hours of this morning after pulling on some strings. All's well at sea.
Fondest Regards,
Aft Port - Jason, Emma L, Peter, Hugh, Tom, Harriet, Mark, Dan, Adrian
