04/08/2010 - Lord Nelson

Dated: 04/08/2010

Had a great day out ashore on Jersey. Went by bus to the Tunnels and found out all about the German occupation during World War 2. Got a couple of tacky souveneers from the shop. Back in St Helier had a yummy Jersey icecream. Went to the chippy and got harassed by a very bossy seagull, which Anna sorted out by chasing it in her wheelchair into the road in the hope it would get run over! Called in a random pub then went to meet Mary Ann in the Southampton Arms! Bumped into the bus driver again! Everyone seems to have enjoyed their shore leave.

We left Jersey around 9am ish

And now are sailing North towards the Isle of White. It’s quite choppy and quite a few people are seasick L  Over and out for now,

Love to everyone at home Dinah x

Late yesterday two of our crew got lost in Jersey, i was one them and i did not tell Vic ii thought that we were going the wrong way. This morning everyone sat for breakfast in ages, afterwards we left for Jersey and started sailing to Cows, Isle of Wright. Soon after we set the sails and now most of the people on ship are lying in their beds and feeling how mean the waves are.

Little Alice.
