We finally left the beautiful port of Dartmouth. The pilot came aboard at 9.30 am leaving the ship and crew at the mouth of the river with a much calmer sea than when we arrived 2 days ago.
So off to sea we go all feeling alot more confident now that we have found our sea legs.
Lyme bay is fairly calm as we set the sails towards the Dorset coast.
Later in the day we had a talk on knots and rope work which came in very useful when some of us climbed the fore mast and out onto the yards to hand in the upper topsail.
Next on the agenda was Happy Hour followed by a warming curry from the galley.
the night is yet to come but I am sure we will all enjoy each others company in the bar below.
