During the morning we took those wheelchair users that wanted to go, up the foremast to the tops, while on the main mast, Ali took some of the less able-bodied people for an assisted climb, again to the tops. As always the determination of some of our crew absolutely amazes us- who cares bout the odd bruise or feeling tired out - we've been climbing!!!
After a smoko on the hoof we took the voyage photo and then raised the anchor, to set off in the general direction of Genoa. The sea was pretty much like a millpond, but from somewhere we managed to find enough wind to sail.
We sailed overnight, and late morning we made our way into the harbour in Genoa. Some of the other Tall Ships who will be racing with us were already there.
The organisation has turned out to be very Italian, but I believe the party last night was good ( from the none too happy faces at happy hour this morning anyway!), and Tenacious won a trophy!! Shame we aren't too sure what for , but never mind- we'll invent a good story!
