Hi Guys – Rachael reporting from The Forward Port Watch which consists of Bob – Watch Leader, Sylvia, Andy, Liam, David and myself. After a hearty breakfast we were moored in next to the Ile de Brehat and all participated in assisted climbs a very big well done to Pete who sat on the top of the main mast!!!
Then we had a gorgeous buffet luncheon on deck in the hot sunshine. Then legs out!!! Everyone returned with shorts on!!! We all were ferried across by the lovely Dave and gorgeous Steve to shore. Raj climbed down into the dotty boat which was a fantastic achievement. Euros in hand and raring to go we set ashore for our adventure.
Once ashore in the beautiful sunshine everyone went off to explore the island. Ruth, Jacqueline, Sam, Rachael and Dan hired bikes followed by Dan and Rachael going for a very quick swim in the quite refreshing water!!
We all met up at 5pm (boat time!) in the square in a really quaint restaurant where we sampled some French cuisine and house rouge and blanc.
The evening was very merry and bright following a potent punch courtesy of the Engineers. Entertainment was supplied by the cook and mystic Claire!! And no Raj you do not know the theory!!!
Were all looking forward to setting sail tomorrow and climbing back up the masts to get the sails out!!!!
