We have been sailing with gale force winds sometimes touching between gale force 7 and gale force 9. We have had gusts of over 50 knots of wind. It is great fun on deck but not so good in the galley or the mess, with a few meals ending up on the floor (but there is always so much it's not a real problem- just messy) and scrabble is a challenge. Everybody is excited by arriving in cork which won't be long as we are making extremely good speed.
