07/06/2010 - Lord Nelson

Today, we joined ship at Glasgow.  We’ve found our bunk, we’ve signed up, our parents have loved and left us and now there is no escape.  After talks and more talks and more talks we successfully carried out an evacuation drill, very important.  Then came the fun bit, climbing the rigging and had our photo taken by reporters, some of which looked pretty terrified when on the first platform.  Then we ate.  I think the food might be pretty good on board, that’s a bit of luck, we all know how much Girl Guides love their food, especially cakes and biscuits, mmmm.    It seems that we might fall out over the subject of bananas.
