08/02/2010 - Tenacious
Dated: 08/02/2010
Everyone arrived safe and sound yesterday, although in some cases in the middle of the night. Today after safety briefing and climbing practice, we departed Lavrion at 14:30 hrs straight into F6 wind on the nose. Motored SW into the night as the wind gradually eased. Some great views of the sky with so little light pollution - even enough to see a shooting star just before midnight. Set sails at midnight and turned SE towards Crete (our next port of call). Day dawned with some sunshine and broken cloud. Mal de Mere has hit some of the crew, but now most are starting to feel much better. Wind increasing again now, so we are off to hand some sails.
