FORWARD PORT Having safely brought her into the Bassin de Commerce at Cherbourg via the eye of a needle (also known as the entrance) we are now enjoying the sunshine crossing the Channel under sail (hurray!) with the wind on the beam at 5 to 6 knots. Last night all watches tested the culinary delights of Cherbourg, some also tested with extreme dedication the variety of cocktails/ slammers available in the Port while our unfortunate watch leader had to cope with a bottle of red wine when she only requested a glass! All these tribulations borne without complaint we struggle on!
