08/10/2010 - Tenacious

Dated: 08/10/2010

Hello from the bridge of Tenacious! We were welcomed on board the ship by our watch leader Dai Rees who was celebrating his Birthday with some lovely cake made by Hammie (The ship Chef). A brilliant way to start any adventure is a nice slice of cake. Dai's watch is Forward Starboard and is the "A"

Team of Tenacious. We even have night vision goggles with thanks to Kyle.

It's a shame they don't work. :-) We have sailed out of the Thames Estury and down passed Margate and past the White Cliffs of Dover. We have just had a nice little stop off the shore of Littlehampton due to a crew member going to shore. I am sure the sight of this amazing ship would have been a treat for everyone in littlehampton. Now sailing off directly to France with full sails going. Jason is almost certain last night on watch he saw klingons off the starboard bow. It's a shame the night vision wasn't working to confirm the alien sighting. As the trip goes on the Forward Starboard "Boys" are getting more and more cheeky and we are all having a lot of fun altering the sails and keeping the ship on course. We are entering force 6 winds and all is becoming very rocky. Today really has that adventurous feel to it and everyone is smiling. It's Forward Starboards turn to steer the ship tonight from Midnight till 4AM. More cake will be needed to keep us alert! We are off now to climb the Bow Spit and look back at such a beautiful ship.

Cheers mate,

Ronan
