Hoisted sail up to royals on both masts. Started engine at 20.00 to achieve 6 knots to ensure we pass through Straights of Messina in daylight. Good night for star gazing! Wheelchair race round forward deck house in morning, record 18 secs.

At 08.00 engine shut down, Royals reset and continued sailing at 6 knots. After happy hour and smoko we were treated to a talk by 2nd mate Dave on meterology. Dolphins spotted by those working on mast. Now aproaching Isle of Ustina.
