Wednesday. Here we are the original painted ship upon a painted ocean wafting along toward Malta. There is a light breeze following us but not enough to set sails. later this afternoon we will be going will be going aloft to harbour stow the sails but until then we on watch are watching the off duty watches working on acquiring fantastic suntans. We have carried out our emergency evac drills and watched the permanent crew carry out a fighting drill dress up in their asbestos type protective gear. Warm work.
There is always lots of work to be done on sailing ships and are present the main work seems to be rubbing down the gunwhales and revarnishing them so that they look as though they are new.
Unusual bit of news. One of our merchant navy cadets was heard to refuse lunch. this must be some sort of a record for Tenacious.
Because we are rather short of crew the ship is operating a 3 watch system and we have the dubious honour of being RED watch. Lead by Bill as Watchleader and consisting of Julia, Mac, Dick, Mark, David, Joe and Dan.
