Yesterday the date was 10/10/10 and to celebrate the 10th Birthday year of Tenacious we had a lovely meal and ended with a toast to Tenacious (and a raucous rendition of Happy Birthday!).
Overnight we sailed through the Alderney Race reaching a top speed of 13 knots! There was a fair amount of sail setting through the night to keep us on course. The weather was beautiful; not too cold and the stars were out in force.
This morning we woke to the view of Jersey, and have been making good progress towards Grande Ile where we hope to drop anchor for the night. We had to hand all sails except staysails this afternoon as the wind was North Easterly force 7, and we need to head East.
We are slowly getting used to being filmed aboard Tenacious whilst doing our daily activities. We all look forward to becoming TV stars in the not too distant future!!
Happy Sailing! From Bill, Tim, Paul, Paul, Ken and Bex.
Regards,
Ronan
