We arrived at the port of Zebrugger at around 2pm on Thursday. We entered the port and headed towards the canal that would take us to our destination.
Passing through the canal locks took quite a while, but at last we made our way down the canal and arrived in Brugges ... the home of beer!!
Docking the ship was a complicated process that required the input of many of the crew, both on the quayside and on board.
At around 6pm ship time ,after clearing immigration, we were free to disemark and explore Brugges, with its picturesque bridges, horse-drawn carriages, and restaurants ... not to mention the countless bars and pubs.
It is safe to say a good night was had by all!!
We left Brugges at 10am on Friday and made our way back towards Zebrugger and the open sea. At the moment, although it is quite sunny, there is a headwind preventing us from using the sails, and the engines alone are driving us towards London, our final destination.
