Good dinner was had by all on the evening of 11th..Foward Port met some French sub mariners in a bar who showed an interest in Tall Ships.
From the night life of Cherbourg the happy crew returned to the ship where they listened to stories from Fred the Fish, singing from Linda, the watch leader who was accompanied by the dulcet tones of Marco(1st engineer)and Stephen on the guitar.
Bright sunny Tuesday morn saw the whole crew ashore for voyage photograph.
Followed by a full compliment of enthusiastic crew for Happy Hour.
Then Jean's birthday at smoko.
It wasn't long and we were making plans to get underway and leave the sheltered shores of France. We got through the cut and out into the sea to be met with our old friend "Lumpy Sea"
The sea gave us all a warm welcome by splashing onto us as we enjoyed the roller coaster ride.
Below decks a game of seeing who could hang onto their lunch as it flew around the lower mess. So far no "mal de mere" as we head for the English coast line and shelter.
