12/10/2010 - Tenacious

Dated: 12/10/2010

Yesterday afternoon we did some assisted climbs and wheelchairs aloft while docked up in St Malo, everyone came back with rave reviews about being up the masts.

After that there was time to peruse the fine streets of St Malo in search of ice creams, pancakes and all things fine and french. Following that came evening meals abroad with watchs disbanding out to hunt down rare delicacies and sample the local sea food and fantastic cuisine, nearly half as good as the food coming from the galley!

Bodies rolled back on board at various times depending on how many lemonades were consumed while catching up on the England game.

Early start for Tenancious today with the tides being right for escape from St Malo docks and this morning we got the sails out, tide behind us and raced up to round Jersey around 1230. Then handing and stowing sails to head straight into our - so far beneficial - norhteast wind. This came straight after lunch and a great excuse to burn off a bit of the chilli we had for lunch.

Sailors going aloft to tie down the sails until hopefully getting them out and sailing across the channel after Alderney tonight, fingers crossed.
