One year into GG7...
Or maybe just day 4!!! We can’t be sure, lots of sea and no land, and been asleep on deck for quite a while. Luckily we woke up just in time for yummy pasta carbonara and to start our watch duty.
We had a fantastic buoy talk, not about why they are stupid as teenagers and not a scout in sight. Just to share some of this knowledge the world is split into two parts America and the rest of the world! Also buoys come in lots of different colours like yellow, Christmassy green and red, and bee-style black and yellow. This was demonstrated by artistic representations and then teeny tiny models on the white board sea with a wooden boat.
Sick camp has definitely gone up and to find real life samples you should visit a channel port near you.
Look out for the new series of the new Noddy adventures, Noddy at sea.
We are currently on the 12.30 till 4.00PM afternoon watch and as multi-tasking 21st century women we have managed to keep watch for pirates and write an entire song (or maybe just adapt a well known one) look out for this at the sods opera. Singles will be available for downloads afterwards, help us get to number one, we are better than WantedJ.
Later tonight we will be putting to the test our knowledge of stuff against the other watches in an inter watch quiz. Wish us luck, FP TO WIN!!!!
Its time for some retail therapy, purses at the ready the shop is opening on the good ship Nelly (not the elephant) at 3.30 pm.
Quote of the watch – Stacey: “Do submarines exist?”!
Well we are just giving the responsibility of watch over to FS and giving them the vital information. Till the next time,
Forward Port Watch - Hannah, Helen, Lucy, Lara, Emma, Katie, Stacey, Sophie, Alex and Watch Leader Katherine.

Noddy here aka Abi. If people are wondering about Noddy I have been given the nickname as in the wet weather stuff I look like him but all I need is the hat (the book is about the crews days at sea but Noddy is the main person.
Ble mae dwc glas? (Where is the blue duck?) The duck has been found and lost and found and lost again?

Land!! After 1 day and 1 night we can see land. Is not that clear but it is there.
Phones have signal but some are not workingL
Sea quite rough, the sick people are starting to get over it..... Not Lucy!!(NB sea only slight to moderate actually a calm pleasant sail Jo Medical purser)
Game time
I spy with my little eye something beginning with s.
Here the clue its wet! It’s blue! It has waves! It controlled by the moon! The lord nelson is sailing on it! IT THE SEA well that is all we can see.
Back again the land that we have been so excited about is not FRANCE but a channel island!!! So we are now slightly depressed but not for long as Noddy is here, but could be short lived as Noddy has a tendency to fall asleep anywhere and everywhere in weird positions!!!
The weather is sunny but, a little cold we have changed watches again and AP are now taking the wheel for a comfortable sail.
Bit to breezy for me as I preferred sun bathing earlier, like we all doJ just watching Ellie taking the wheel she is wonderful. On the way to France nowJ still too many waves me no like!! Watched the sun rise this morning at 4 till 8am it was cooolllddd!! And dark most of the time, so very boring. But has to be done as we don’t want to crash! / Now sitting doing nothing in the shivering weatherL well looking for boats, at the same time as chatting. Not much around because we are crossing the channel. Must go, feeling a little sick. ByeeeeJ xxx
Hey its Charlie from F.S, just got woken up :’( no fair, it’s about 5 to 7 in the morning and I’ve been up since half 3! Well it was comfy, and anyway we weren’t sleeping we were “resting our eyes” according to Noddy. I can see land but I’m not sure if it’s France or not. Since last time we thought it was it turned out to be a channel island L(, we got down after that. So we are not getting our hopes up. We’ve tacked the sails around 3 times in 5 minutes now! Neil’s the guys here to make sure we don’t kill everyone, no one’s dead so far! We all seem to be getting everyone’s accents, it’s VERY funny! I’m talking like a Welsh, Irish English-woman!!!
Oh Noddy finally found the duck last night too; it was very drunk since it’s been in the wine locker for 2 days! Me, Katharine, Fiona, Gemma and Sarah found it then Noddy claimed she found it and hid it in a sick bag so we moved it! Ha-ha we are so nice aren’t we! ;) Well Noddys begging me to swap places with her since she’s starboard lookout. It’s Saint Malo! All is not lost we are here . . . finally! We get 2 nights in port now, no rough seas ^-^. We hope though! Didn’t get to see the sunrise since its cloudy L Mr sun hasn’t got his hat on yet and were going to be swimming in the sea too! Come on Mr Sunshine, I’m cold now L(Getting dizzy now might go drink some more flat Coke and ginger biscuits (which I found out isn’t spelt bisquit like the fox Panda advert says so). Quote of the watch “That big ship I warned you about before, I think its France” said by Emma, byeeeeee! Xxx
PS. At 7.41 from the watch leader
Love to all our families at home, we are looking forward to our breakfast of porridge, boiled eggs , bacon and tomato etc...And getting on to dry land...bye for a couple of days...
