Having spent a calm night with beautifully clear skies and bright stars we woke up to bright sun with just a little haze on the horizon. The wind was still light and distinctly chilly. In a change to the usual routine we set sails first thing and did our evacuation drill before a late "happy hour"
after smoko. The wind has been picking up this afternoon, so much so that we had to furl the royal sail. There was much excitement earlier when we spotted a basking shark fin dead ahead only to pass a large tree trunk with protruding branch a few minutes later. However, we were rewarded with a pod of dolphins playing around the bow shortly afterwards (real ones this time).
We are heading for Calvi on Corsica, hoping to arrive late tonight or early tomorrow morning. The food is good and spirits are high!
