Monday 14th Sept. Day 5 - We arrived in Holland on the Sunday evening, stopping over until Tuesday morning. The weather was kind to us, being really sunny all the time we were there. While in Holland, there were a few trips to different places that took place. In our watch, Aft Port, a few of us decided to tag along with another watch and take the tram to Delft for the afternoon. Once in Delft, as we were looking for somewhere to eat, we spotted a boat trip along the canals. We felt like we hadn't had enough of being afloat, so we decided to book the 45-minute tour! One of the members in our group was sensible enough to stay on dry land, and he told us he'd meet us back at the boat. We thought he meant at the booking office for the boat trip, but he meant back at the ship! He had decided to make the most of being ashore, and walked the 14 km back to Scheveningen, although with a few pitstops in between, e.g. McDonald's and a couple of local coffee shops! Most of the voyage crew enjoyed their last night ashore sampling the local restaurants and night life.
