The city banks and tall office buildings looked down onto the tops of the masts of Tenacious as she sat alongside at Millwall Cut in West India Dock, Canary Wharf.
By 13:00 all new crew had arrived, then safety briefings and introductions were made. Tenacious was ready to leave with a pilot by 17:50.
The lock bridge opened as the new crew set out down the Thames to an anchorage at Southend-on-sea. Once at anchorage with a beautiful sunset, the crew took up their anchor watches until the morning. An early call at 06:30 hours, is to be made in the morning to start our journey.
