Web report LN 748 GG4 – the final bit
Having gone to bed after a rather pleasant evening, we were awoken to a very blustery gale 7 gusting 8! The sea was a steely grey colour, reflecting the sky and the waves were being whipped up, making keeping Nellie in position to bring up the anchor, something of a challenge. But not to be thwarted, it was eventually brought in and we were able to make our way to the pilot pick up station. With the pilot on board we then proceeded to make our way up the river to Boston. It was an amazing sight to have the Lord Nelson coming up the river with cows and sheep either side of us, as the Captain said she thought she should be on a tractor! And it was equally lovely to see so many well wishers and dog walkers stop to wave to us!
Once alongside with the gangway in position and us all safely moored, Chris the mate gave everyone shore leave and the chance to explore Boston before finally disembarking the next day.
Once again we have been delighted to meet so many great voyage crew and we hope to have the opportunity to sail with you all again in the future.

PS A personal thankyou to Eleanor for leaving the instructions for making the rope bracelets – many thanks and I’ll give it a go!
