Forward Starboard are having a good watch.
Harry gave up happy hour for Lent (until MP Rachel heard - Nice try though!) Danny ate all the biscuits but moaned that the cherry one contained fruit. No wind except from the 2nd Mate (MP - I believe this is a reference to the lovely Dave’s talk on weather this morning!!!). Other watches are out on the upper deck in shorts, sunbathing, enjoying 17.5 degrees – we understand it may be snowing in UK! No sympathy from us! We’re heading towards Volos, but due to the good weather not under sail yet. Marie has just finished a turn on the helm and now on look out – the star helmsman for the day. We’re rumoured to be heading to Crete later on in the voyage to grapple with Grappa. All been called to bracing stations – is the wind finally picking up?
Update: In the last few minutes, the yards on the foremast were braced sharp up to port with the mainmast square; and with the buntlines released, the clewlines pulled down, and sheets sheeted; we are now under sail with the course, lower and upper topsails and T’gallant all set on the fore and main masts – what a wonderful sight!
