16/06/2009 - Tenacious

Dated: 16/06/2009

We are currently on our 2nd watch. Last night was fine and light until 10.30pm until the sun went down on the starboard bow, then the fog descended. We were instructed on taking log measurements, taking the helm and shown the chart room equiptment. This morning the pain of happy hour was alleviated by the reward of Grahams hot pants, I mean cakes. This was followed by a photo shoot of the crew on focsle deck and then an excellent informative talk by Dave who talked a lot of hot air - and aspects of weather measurements. This made sense of why we record the temperature, wind and pressure readings on a hourly basis. Fine weather but it looks like its going to get a bit lively tonight. Jo, Andy, Carol, Jonty, Tim, Daphne and Paul, Fwd Stbd Watch
