We were woken up with a "bing-bong" at 7:30, much to our disgust. We then had an excellent breakfast followed by another safety briefing. We had another fire drill and, looking extremely fashionable in our lifejackets, were given the plan for the day. We then motored out of the Thames and set the sails. This involved yet more teetering on yards to release the bound sails, But at least the view was good.
We are now sailing out of the Thames estuary in to the North sea under full canvas in the bright sunshine, with the prospect of happy hour to come!
