18/06/2010 - Lord Nelson

Dated: 18/06/2010

Just finished 4am – 8am watch with Mary steering us out of a very narrow channel. We were anchored in Loch Eport in North Uist. J Sun is shining again and we are heading for Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis today; civilisation here we come! Ducks were on watch again this morning, stealing tea and using the binoculars... Must give them punishment on Happy Hour. We shall be back soon. X

Arrived into Stornoway at about 4pm. Loads of local Rainbows, Brownies and Guides came on board to see the ship. We’ve been to look round the grounds of a local castle and explored the town. We’re now all stocked up with chocolates and sweeties. Not that we need it as Colin (the Cook’s Assistant) served us up an amazing banoffee pie for pudding tonight much to Fran’s delight who proceeded to lick the tray clean! Off to play some games again involving chocolate and having some chill time. Captain joined us for a while and joined in the fun and games mastering the after eight game but not quite so successful with the maltesers. We are heading ashore again in the morning and setting sail around 11.30 and we will do our first night sail tomorrow night too. How exciting! J Night night.
