Whilst Forward Port have been having a lazy day, Emily can safely say she has climbed the rigging – well only ½ way before her legs turned to jelly & she felt very sick! Gemma says that is it a massive achievement & she should be very proud of herself – which she is!!! After having a lovely lunch of ploughman’s (as it was just far too hot for a cooked meal) Hannah, Hannah, Gemma, Emily, Fiona, Kim & Jenny all decided to head ashore heading for the shopping mall just by the pier in search of stamps for Hannah & batteries for Emily’s camera!! After having found these we decided to head back to the beach where we stopped & had a drink on some very big purple cushions – which were very comfy! Emily & Gemma both decided to head back to Nellie to rest & cool down before Gemma heads to mess duty at 5PM. Not much planned for this evening – just a quiet one – probably making the most of being in port whilst having a shower!! Setting sail again at about 10AM tomorrow heading back to England where we will anchor just of Southend on Saturday night before heading up the Thames on Sunday for the West India Docks!
