21/09/2010 - Tenacious
Woke to pea-soup. Time for lots of training / climbing in the murk. By 12.30pm fog lifting, sun shining, wind blowing (gently) and we're off - 12 sails set and heading SW to pay courtesy call on our old friends en France. Sailed all night crossing both busy Channel shipping lanes with only a few reminders to other shipping from our Captain. Full moon, Jupiter's moons spotted and a tutorial in 'celestial navigation' from Bosun Alex, fully kitted out with Bolivian headgear.
