We set off from Canary Wharf yesterday morning, absolutely brilliant sunshine and blue sky. First night watch went without a hitch, after we'd dropped the anchor and proceeded to wake everyone else up in the process. We anchored off Margate- what a brilliant view. The ship was all lit up and we were very warm.
Started today with the first climb, another fantastic view after persuading the nervous ones among us to stand off on the yard! Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a adrenaline rush. They say 'Rome wasn't built in a day'-maybe we'll try a little higher tomorrow!!
Still no wind though, forecast to come force 4/5 sometime between midday today and midday tomorrow, we may then eventually get some sailing done!, still though, we're not complaining about the lack of people being sea sick!
