John West Jr/Mark 2 was generally marvellous, witty and charming ( how misguided can you get???Sue). Poppy was in charge for anchor watch, so everyone slept ready for immediate evacuation!
Deck scrubbing in the morning produced an alarming amount of grime, which was speedily replaced by the scatterings from another excellent lunch, (wraps, peanuts, crisps, fruit and cheese). We're gliding up the Thames estuary with Cleo at the helm, due in the lock at 17:30 .The group photo was taken just as the freezing rain the started along with Ted and Harry in demure Hawaian shirts. But now the sun is out and Simon on deck is making the most of it.
According to Dick, the definition of a laptop is "where your girlfriend sits when you're smooching in the front room". Another gem of wisdom from the crew of Tenacious.
We sadly attended our end of voyage briefing, and with heavy hearts packed away oil skins, boots and climbing harnesses. If you ever want to see them again COME BACK NEXT SUMMER!
