Thursday 22 dawned sunny and calm so we carried on past Sicily on motor.
James and Fred decided they wanted to fish from the stern of the ship. Fred made a huge landing net from scratch and we all said he was very optimistic, how big a fish did he expect to catch! Captain Barbara also had a go at making the net.
That evening we had a talk by Colin on bread making and we had a go at plaiting the bread. At about 9pm on our watch (AS)the depleted crew set a few sails in the pitch dark making a more comfortable sail.
