When we first arrived, we were shocked at the size of the boat. Getting on was interesting...hauled up in my wheelchair on the end of a rope!
We were then showed our rooms which were much better than expected, much more spacious.
Listening to all the rules and regulations in the mess was a bit overwhelming, with so many safety precautions I would never have thought about.
During the fire drill I found myself being pulled up a steep flight of steps. I wasn't particularly frightened and quite liked being fussed over by the men, but I would rather not do it again.
The tea was delicious, again above expectations. Not home caught fish as expected!
We are both elderly ladies on our first voyage and so far enjoying it immensely The highlight of my day was reaching the first platform on the centre mast.
I was determined to do it, but was still really proud of myself when I made it to the top. The view was fantastic but very breezy.
The sunset was a perfect end to the day, a great red light across the sky.
