Doesn't time fly when you are having fun!!
Maintenance is over and the generators are in and running smoothly (Yesterday we actually had 4 engineers working on the ship). Now we can switch things on without wondering what we will inadvertently turn off.
Anyway, all those that were going home have gone today and the voyage crew has started to arrive, as have large amounts of stores! There are yet more stores to come, and also some water is needed, which is due to come by barge at some point today - still at least that won't involve heaving large boxes around!
So, the plan is for the voyage crew to sign on about 4- 5 pm, and have introductions etc, and supper. Tomorrow they will spend the morning doing training and we plan to sail after lunch. The weather at present looks OK but the wind will build up by later on Wednesday so we would like to be into La Palma reasonably early. We will have to entertain ourselves for the early part of the evening as most of the town will be shut until after midnight for the traditional Christmas celebrations.
