Farewell from the voyage crew
So long and thanks for all the fish.......... signing off now for well earned shore leave. Lots of love Aft Starboard xxxxxxxxxxxxx
And so it’s the end of tripL...
Lots of the crew are showing their families around Nellie and those who are without family in Aberdeen are doing a good job at looking official in the chart room!
We’ve had a bit of fun in Aberdeen with some of the PC! Eileen and Emma have got into the paper while Abi had a chance to go out on the yard arm with Jess and Jon. They are just visible in the photo! Last night we had fun with the PC at the BBQ. Our watch did a little shopping in Kirkwall for the PC to say thank-you. They all got individual presents that reminded us of them, or vice versa!!! Barbara got an old school style captain’s badge, Jon got his very own camp blanket for all his badges (so bring some for him to sew on if you’re coming for any other voyages!), Steve got a Scottish kilt mug, Marco got a “muff” bandana, Alec got a coaster, Fred, a fishing net and a bucket, Dave a sewing kit, Colin, some biscuit cutters, Jo a medical kit (toy one), Marcin a shark shower cap for his multiple showers! Shortly afterwards, we had the egg drop competition which we won! Our egg ended up on Amy’s head... (From Barbara)...needless to say...Amy’s did a spectacular catch and got the last egg on THE CAPTAIN’S HEAD in revenge!!! There’s one last message from the FWD PORT watch....we’ve had a fabulous time and we all learnt that you get as much out of the experience as you put in! You never know, some of us may even return (sorry Steve!). So long fellow crew mates. Love from FWD PORT WATCH xxxxx Abi, Amy, Eileen, Emma, Jos, Jess and Martha. Xxxx
