Forward Port on watch from 8-12.30. We woke to find that sails had been set and then taken down while we were still asleep!Weather again was good, and by late evening everyone was starting to show signs of sunburn. We entered the Solent and spent the morning spotting the smaller boats that came up to take a look at us. All willing hands were called aloft shortly before Smoko and we stowed first the main then the fore lower topsail neatly in preparation for going alongside in Cowes, Isle of Wight. We approached with the sun dappling the water to find sunny, people-filled streets. The evening meal at The Folly up river proved an experience, heightened by the sight of people dancing on the tables. An enjoyable night was had by all, and everyone gave a big thumbs up to Cowes as a stopping over place to go on the last night of a voyage.
