We set sail from Poole Harbour at 1730 yesterday evening and motored round to Swanage bay where we dropped anchor for the evening. We practiced bracing - turning the yard arms - we coped well, but still need more practice coiling rope!
We got plenty of practice today however, as we set sail from Swanage and then prepared to have our photo taken by the German film crew who are onboard. This included putting up the Spanker and changing to the best ensign.
Most of us have been up in the rigging unfurling sails - what an adrenaline rush! We've also had a go at helming and are generally enjoying the weather and the food, especially the cake.
All in all an exciting 24 hours on board the Tenacious.
