The voyage crew joined the ship, Tenacious, at Southampton where we were moored along the keyside. It was a sunny day, and everyone was in good spirits. We had a full crew and after every one had had time to unpack, and to orientate themselves with the ship, we set off in good time to make for our anchorage for the night at St Helen's Road. A calm sea promised to rock us to sleep....all except those on anchor watch who had the pleasure of the
