Another new day and another new voyage with Lord Nelson looking all spic and span after the last Happy Hour of voyage 707.
Voyage crew arrive in brilliant sunshine but not for long. The weather men predict strong winds and rain before the end of the week. At the Captains meeting a trip across the channel to Cherbourg is mentioned. With winds predicted up to force 7 with gusts of 37 it is not expected to take long to arrive in France.
Before crossing the channel the crew need to have a basic understanding of sailing a tall ship. So safety briefings, hands aloft and bracing are explained before leaving Southampton.
Soon the gangway is brought back on board and the warps from the quay released and Lord Nelson navigates her way down a busy Solent
Finally on the 29th September 2008 the Lord Nelson comes to anchor off St Helens, The Isle of Wight, with the new crew laughing and talking in the bar.
