We arrived yesterday ,and had loads of briefings and training before a lovely supper. Those that wanted to went out into Southampton, but it was quite a walk. and very cold so a lot of people stayed on board.
This morning we had our first intoroduction to happy hour and a talk on bracing the yards before departing Southampton We were a little bit delayed as one of our number had to go into town for emergency dental treatment. We motored out through the Needles Channel and with the wind from the west we have continued to motor. Average speed 8 knots, cloud cover increasing and light rain expected any time now. Lovely!
