James Whale, winner of two silver medals in the Cerebral Palsy World Games, has ditched his goggles for a life on the ocean waves. He now prefers being on the water rather than in it and is studying for a RYA Day Skipper certificate after a voyage with JST got him interested in sailing.

The British Classic Yacht Club has raised £1250 towards supporting JST's work with injured service personnel.

Sail Training International (organisers of The Tall Ships Races)has appointed a new Chief Executive. He is Peter Cardy, a former Chief Executive of the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). He is also a JST Watchleader.

On Saturday 3rd December 2011 the crews on board the Jubilee Sailing Trust’s (JST) two tall ships Lord Nelson and Tenacious will be raising a glass to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities - an international observance which has been promoted by the UN since 1992.

Councillor Judith Woodman, Deputy Leader of Cardiff City Council,has recently agreed to become JST's Honorary Vice President in Wales.
Judith has agreed to take on this role following the view that Cardiff City Council and JST should work more closely together in order to benefit disabled and able-bodied people in Cardiff and the wider Wales.

These images show Tenacious leaving Southampton to head south to the Canaries. JST office staff went to wave her goodbye - we won't see her again for 7 months and we wish her bon voyage and safe and happy sailing.
