Today is Monday and the fourth day of our trip. Due to the weather and sea conditions yesterday most of us where rather ill, but during the night the waves have reduced and after a great breakfast cooked by Graham and his willing helpers we are all feeling fighting fit.

Nach drei Stunden Busfahrt erreichten wir Emden und sahen zum ersten mal unsere neue Unterkunft, fuer die naechsten sieben Tage, die Tenacious.
Yesterday, after three hour bus ride we arrived at Emden and saw the Tenacious that was to be our home for the next seven days for the first time.

On Friday, 23:43 we crossed the finish line, with the fog horn sounding. There were quick celebrations, before everyone clambered into their beds, ready for another rocky night of sleep.

We are now situated just north of the bay of Biscay. We had an evening watch last night from 8.00 to 12.00pm. The ship is being subjected to improved weather since leaving the Bay.

It was a calm night at anchor just around the head from La Coruna. The ship rocking gently from side to side, which sent the crew to sleep, like babies rocked gently in their cribs. Quiet baby sounds replacing the normal snoring, well in the men's section anyway.

Hi,today Thursday 2nd August, celebrated my 32nd wedding anniversary on the Lord Nelson with an adrenilin kick by climbing onto both main and forsail yards to let go gaskets to set sails. We have had some anniversaries in odd places but the Lord Nelson beats the lot! We are having a fantastic week.
This is the first time we have done this and in my 65th year I have fulfilled a boyhood dream! John Guilford.,

Our voyage began rather slowly with a night in Southampton docks due to a faulty alternator (we don’t know what that is either), but this led to an evening where everyone got to know one another before Tenacious left port.
