- Press Release - Jubilee Sailing Trust, a Southampton based charity, are offering lucky North Tyneside Residents the chance to experience something life changing.
The charity has some funding available for residents of North Tyneside of all abilities to come sailing on board one of their two very special tall ships.
Jubilee Sailing Trust owns and operates the only two tall ships in the world that have been specially designed and built to enable able-bodied and disabled people to become part of the crew, regardless of their previous sailing experience.
The residents that receive funding will join one of the ships, Lord Nelson or Tenacious, and while on board, they will become part of the crew taking part in the day to day running of the ship. Whether they are climbing the mast to unfurl the sails, helming the ship, catching up on sleep after midnight watch or making the most of shore leave, this is an experience that shouldn’t be missed.
Voyages range from 3-40 days in length and cover a number of destinations either in the UK or abroad.
